OTC 2-Channel Automotive Lab Scope Kit is exclusively vehicle-specific database in the 3840F and contains information for most domestic vehicles as well as many imports. Visible on the screen are diagrams showing pin numbers and wire colors for both the PCM and the component connector. 2-Channel lab scope features a powerful built-in reference information for each preset test: include a test procedure, normal reference signal pattern, theory of operation, and trouble shooting tips. Its extremely powerful help menu lets you find answers fast: A 25 Mega-samperele per second (one channel minimum) samperele rate for rapid data updates: true RMS GMM (Graphing Multimeter) measurements and graphs. The "Glitch Snare" feature captures, displays, and saves abnormal signal patterns in the Scope mode for component testing. The real-time comparison between actual waveforms and reference waveforms on the same screen for component testing. Its preset tests enable the user to check the majority of automotive sensors, actuators, and systems easily and quickly. The secondary ignition single function displays the waveform along with the spark voltage, RPM, burn time, and burn voltage. The diesel function allows you to set injection pump timing and RPM using the optional diesel accessories. The USB supports fast update for code and data over the internet. The over molded case technology in the case disperses shock over more of the case than a conventional rubber boot design. Revived my sulfated car battery! : Schumacher PSC-12500A DSR ProSeries 125/15-40/2 Amp 6/12 Volt Automatic SpeedCharge Hybrid Battery Charger/Starter
So I've been neglecting one of my cars. Haven't driven it much because well, it's old and doesnt have a/c OR heater. Had to move it and found out the batteries dead. Jumped it so I could move the car. Drove it for 30 minutes and all was well because it started fine... Until i had to move it again. I looked into getting a trickle charger but it would be just too slow. I settled on this one because of the brand name and the features.
Got it fast via Amazon Prime 2-day but it took a couple tries to get the darn thing to charge. It must have been discharged for a long time because batteries that are left discharged for a long time will get "sulfated" and not be able to recharge/hold a charge.
The schumacher thought it was charging a 95% charged battery because of the sulfation. It took a couple of tries and fiddling with the headlights while this thing was connected to get a good 2A desulfating charge (blinking charging light) from a low%. It may blink bad bat a couple times but that means you should just try again. My battery got progressively better and eventually got back up to 100%.
I now have a revived car battery and a fast charger than can float/trickle charge if needed.

The only short-coming to this unit is the 23" inch cable leads. These units will out perform "ANY" other unit on the market today and especially the styles that you can buy from the big dept stores. Do any of those "other" units come with a certificate to repair or replace their unit for $25.00? Mine did when I bought it back in 1998 and the unit I have is still working to this day... I believe its now $50.00 to send it in for a one time exchange! An "internal" charger is built into this unit so you don't have to deal with attaching an external charger like some brands have out there to charge it, and who doesn't own an extension cord? I do use my unit commercially and if you can safely hook this unit up to the correct leads on the battery your boosting than this unit will not let you down! Buy it and you'll love it! Note" The 660 Model has 46" inch lead cables and is a larger more powerful unit but. this unit will get the job done if you don't need the longer cable leads.. Enough said! Good Luck, Mike

I am on my fourth jumpstarer and after all the previous junk this is a keeper. At 22 ah it delivers enough cranking power for must vehicles, in a nutshell it is a self contained unit with trickle charger and voltmeter, the fan that cools the charger is a little bit loud and never shuts down even after full charge is reached don't know why.
